Laconia Refrigeration is looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented HVAC and Refrigeration Estimator to join our team!

We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of Commercial and Residential HVAC systems, and Refrigeration,  who can prepare accurate estimates, evaluate project costs, and help deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely cost estimates for commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration installations, replacements, repairs, and service work orders.
• Calculate equipment, parts, materials, labor, and supply costs to establish accurate pricing for customer proposals and project bids.
• Review estimates submitted by service technicians, identifying discrepancies in labor hours, materials, parts, or overall job costs.
• Assist management with pricing, project bidding, and determining costs for customer work orders.
• Review blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, proposals, and project documentation to develop detailed estimates when necessary.
• Evaluate residential heating and cooling requirements and recommend properly sized, energy-efficient HVAC systems that meet customer budgets and performance expectations.
• Work closely with management, service technicians, and office staff to ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding project estimates, equipment options, and recommended HVAC or refrigeration solutions.
• Maintain organized estimating records and documentation while managing multiple estimates and project requests.
• Help identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining the company's standards for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone who can bring:

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Strong Organization and documentation skills ability.
• Experience with HVAC estimating, refrigeration estimating, service pricing, installation costs, or a related technical background.
• Ability to evaluate labor requirements, equipment pricing, materials, and overall project costs.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and Sales skills.
• Ability to identify inconsistencies in technician estimates and project documentation.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple estimates.
• A dependable, professional attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians, management, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Service Titan, HVAC estimating software, or other service management and estimating programs.
• Previous experience in commercial estimating labor and GPS knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications when necessary.
• Familiarity with heating and cooling load calculations, HVAC equipment sizing, and energy-efficient system recommendations, but not required.

Experienced HVAC service technicians, refrigeration technicians, installation professionals, and other industry professionals with the technical knowledge and aptitude to move into estimating are encouraged to apply.
